Medrano Elementary seeks to empower students with the skills they need to be successful and

productive leaders of tomorrow.

 

2023 - 2024 GOALS 

 

• Student achievement on state assessments in all subjects in Domain 1 will increase from 32 to 53 this school year.

• Student achievement on the 3rd grade STAAR Reading at the Meets performance level or above shall increase from 28% to 45% this school year.

• Student achievement on 3rd grade STAAR Mathematics at the Meets performance level or above shall increase from 17% to 38% this school year.

 

KEY ACTIONS

 

Key Action #1 - Create an equitable, positive, safe and inspiring culture and climate for all stakeholders through SEL and communication and recognition

Key Action #2 - Increase student achievement through implementation of equitable, effective, balanced literacy and instructional practices that support differentiated instruction for all learners.

Key Action #3 - Ensure alignment of curriculum, instruction and assessment to ensure equitable student success in learning through professional learning communities and data practices.

Key Action #4 - Utilize a distributive leadership model and an effective coaching cycle to build leadership capacity and grow instructional leaders to increase effectiveness of and equity for all stakeholders.
